The indications, limitations, patient preparation and scanning times will depend on the region to be examined. Please refer to the individual headings for more information, for example, for stent/grafts;
- Arteriovenous fistula graft/repairs; refer to AIF duplex ultrasound
- Endovascular aortic repair; refer to AAA duplex ultrasound3
- Iliac arteries; refer to AIF duplex ultrasound
- Lower limb arteries, refer to lower limb arterial duplex ultrasound
- Upper limb arteries; refer to upper limb arterial duplex ultrasound
- Upper limb venous; refer to upper limb venous duplex ultrasound
- Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS)
Please NOTE: if a focused study, for example, an assessment of a femoral artery stent, without requiring the assessment of the calf arteries, please note this on the request form. If only a focused study is required, this will reduce the ultrasound scanning time, unless proximal or distal (above or below) pathology is suspected, for example, the presence of abnormal spectral Doppler waveforms, proximal or distal to the graft/stent.
